PROFESSION

The idea that your work doesn’t define who you are may be right, but it does influence who you become and that isn’t something to make light of.

Your profession is a vessel in which you have an opportunity to express yourself. No different than how an artist can express themselves through music or a canvas. Our professions, have that be business, medicine, or law are simply a canvas for us. Over time, we learn different idiosyncratic technical, and surely, we calibrate towards the profession, especially in the things the profession disproportionally values. 

So, while your profession doesn’t define who you are definitely reflects who you are. Choose your profession with intent and purpose, it matters.
